Love of Self and then the Other

  • 2C Yoga 901 Main Street Caldwell, ID, 83605 United States (map)

Valentine's day seems to define the month of February. Some absolutely love this day, others might experience it as a reminder that they haven’t “found” their person yet, and some people just don’t like the commodification of love. Whatever your experience or perspective on Valentine's Day is, one thing is for sure, our culture has some pretty overt opinions on what love is, and how we can find fulfillment in a relationship.

Often times these opinions are based on the idea that by ourselves, we are not enough. There is someone missing, and once we find that person, life will be great. We know this is generally not the case, yet we continue to run on these hamster wheels of suffering, unsure of how to find true enjoyment in our own lives, let alone our relationships.

What if true relational fulfillment starts with us? What happens when we step into relationships with others out of a deep understanding and unconditional love for ourselves? How would this change the way we live and look for purpose? And How would this then perhaps allow us to really love those that come in and out of our lives? Let’s explore some of these ideas together!

Join DJ for a special night of teaching, yoga, and live music. DJ will share some of his heart at the beginning of the evening, lead people through a very gentle yoga practice, and then sing some of his own original music. Come enjoy an evening of vulnerability, rest, presence, and lovely live music!!
